Newly formed Odisha United Football Club (OUFC) of Cuttack won their maiden trophy by emerging champions in the 8th Biju Patnaik Gold Cup All-Odisha Inter-District School Football Tournament here at Unit-VI Government Boys High School ground on today. OUFC put up flawless performance when it mattered to edge out Sundargarh Sports Hostel (SSH) 4-2 in the hard-fought final, via penalty shoot out.
Bikash Sahoo of OUFC won the prize as man of the tournament. Prizes for best goalkeeper, best defender, best mid-fielder and best forward went to Narayan Samal, Dharma Behera (both OUFC), Sanjib Oram and Prasant Oram (both SSH) respectively.
